Getac F110 Tablet
The F110 is arguably the most popular Getac tablet on the market. It is slightly bigger than many slate tablets coming in at 11.6”. Most slate tablets hit the 10” size so the F110 rugged tablet gives just a little extra screen size for those folks who want a bigger display. At the time this blog was being written the G7 was the most recent version of the tablet. It’s inclusion of recent 13th gen processors and optional accessory items like the 4G / 5G internet make it a great rugged tablet for any industry. The F110 has an optional detachable keyboard that makes it into a clamshell style laptop for those that need the keyboard input and also want a handle! Tablets are often known as content consuming devices and a clamshell laptop is known more as a content creation device. This is largely due to the keyboard. This build allows for the ultimate in flexibility between the tablet consumption mode and with keyboard for content creation! At 3.29 pounds it may sound heavy but that’s pretty consistent with other rugged tablets of this form factor.
Getac F110 Processor Speeds
Currently the F110 is slightly behind some competitors in the processor version offered; However, a rugged tablet / laptop is always 2-3 generations behind so the G7 F110 featuring a 13th generation intel i5 or i7 shouldn’t give anyone any major distress. These processors are able to handle any amount of internet, email, office productivity software like word / excel, etc. They aren’t the best option for graphically demanding content but then again no rugged tablet / laptop is ideal for heavy graphics consumption.
Getac F110 Display
With a 11.6” display with a full 1920x1080 resolution, the F110 tablet makes whatever you view a pleasure on this screen. It’s rated for 1,200 nits which makes it plenty bright for use outdoors. It has a capacitive multi- touch screen which means - like a cell phone - you can pinch and zoom or operate easily with your hands.
Getac F110 Storage & Memory
F110 tablets are loaded with 8GB by default and can be purchased as 16GB or 32GB. Be careful to buy the ram amount you want initially because the RAM is soldered on the motherboard and cannot be upgraded later! Hard drive space is 256GB SSD as a standard and again you can purchase it as 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB. This can be upgraded later but it’s always annoying to have to reinstall all your programs, operating system etc.
Getac F110 Expansion Slot
This cannot be added later, but when you buy the F110 you can choose if you want a 1D/2D barcode reader, additional USB 2.0 port, LAN port, RS-232 9 pin serial port, MicroSD card reader, High Frequency RFID reader, Fingerprint reader, or Smart Card reader. These features allow the Getac tablet to be customized to a wide range of use case scenarios and environments.
Getac F110 Standard I/O ports
The F110 rugged tablet comes with a 5mp Webcam, 8MP rear cam, 3.5mm in / out port, DC power connection, USB 3.2 Type-A x1, Thunderbolt 4 Type - C x1, and the docking connector. You can choose to buy an F110 version upfront that has a Windows Hello compatible camera but again this is not standard and cannot be upgraded later.
Getac F110 Communication Interfaces
As a standard the F110 has WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. You can choose models that include LAN, dedicated GPS, 4G LTE, and 5G cellular. The optional cellular connectivity and GPS allows the F110 to function as an on the go work space, run computer aided dispatch, turn by turn directions and much more.
Getac F110 Batteries and Power
The F110 battery system is innovative and highly functional. The F110 boasts two 4,000+ mAh batteries that concurrently sit on the back of the tablet. Having two is really neat because it creates a natural “bridge” battery. If you need to run a tablet for longer than 1 full shift you can hot swap batteries out one at a time without the tablet turning off. There are external battery chargers available so you can keep a bank of fully charged batteries for maximum up time.
Getac F110 Certifications
IP66 is a really great feature allow the F110 computer to be used comfortably in the rain. Other competing tablets only offer IP65, which is still good but not as ideal as IP66 (which stands for Ingress Protection 66.) MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G, and optional ANSI C1D2 intrinsically safe. The intrinsically safe options for the F110 are interesting because no other leading manufacturer of rugged tablets offers both the North American ANSI and the European ATEX certifications. This allows a workforce that needs to travel internationally to have a device that will satisfy both categories but those are specially designed and purchased versions of the F110 so don’t mistakenly think they all meet the standards.

Getac F110 Warranty
The Getac fully rugged lineup is notable in the fact it includes the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty that covers accidental damage by default. Other manufacturers charge extra for it. This is only on the fully rugged line though, not to be mistaken for warranties on a less rugged model like the S410.
Getac F110 Notable Accessories
The F110 rugged tablet has a luxurious amount of purpose built accessories. Ranging from batteries, external batter chargers, AC adapters, vehicle DC adapters, carry bags, rotating hand straps, shoulder straps, office / vehicle docks, and of course my favorite, the handle! The F110 can have 2 different handles. You can put a hard handle on the tablet itself or use the handle with the keyboard. Oh and the keyboard, the keyboard is a really great accessory that shouldn’t be overlooked.
